Paradise Lost II - Watercolor

Here is the second painting in my Paradise Lost series. Can you tell what is in the background (the brown part of the painting)? Only about half of the people I ask get what I was trying to portray. Of course, it seems really obvious to me but that's because I painted it. I would love to hear your feedback on this one.

  1. Biscuits? Just kidding! But, then, growing up in Orange, I am very familiar with this "lost paradise" transformation of OC. I won't give it away here, but there's no question in my mind what it is. There's definitely a sad element to the painting, with the brown tones and how the composition has been "eaten away..." Beautifully painted.
