Paradise Lost III - Watercolor

They are getting weirder! This is the third painting in the Paradise Lost series and it's a bit strange but I think its message is maybe clearer than in the first two paintings. Of course there is still plenty of room for interpretation. I would love to hear what this painting says to you. I had a lot of fun with this one. I don't know if my smog shows in the photo but I'm pretty happy with how that turned out and how it changed the painting.

  1. Nancy this is a really interesting series with a poignant message. Congrats on the award for #1!

Although this piece speaks volumes about the lament of the orange groves thanks to smog-filled development, for me, #2 is the powerful image so far. It looks like the groves, full of color and life, are being torn asunder by the colorless/lifeless rows of houses. Can't wait to see what you come up with for the rest of the series!

  2. Thank you for your comment Deborah. I'm having fun with this series. Three down, two to go (unless I come up with some new ideas)!
