P.V. Coast

Twenty years ago, we went to Puerto Vallarta and I took this photo at the hotel where we stayed.  I've painted it several times using either watercolor or gouache but this is the first time I've used oils.  I need some new inspiration for paintings if I'm digging up twenty year old photos, don't you think?

    J'aime beaucoup l'interprétation à l'huile de cet endroit... Il règne une atmosphère remplie de sérénité... J'aime l'harmonie de vos couleurs...
    Une suggestion il faut peut-être retourner faire un petit pèlerinage dans ce petit coin charmant !

    I think this is just stunning, Nancy. Even the thumbnail immediately captured my interest. If you find inspiration can you send some to me? I am so lacking of late it isn't even funny.

    Makes me wonder how much this scene has changed during this time. It's a lovely spot and your painting makes me want to go there, but perhaps I'd have to step back in time...

    Susan, I hope this still looks the same. I imagine it does since it isn't an area that can be built on and it looks like it would stand up to the occasional hurricanes that hit the area.
