Passing By

Watercolor and Acrylic

Koi fish have always been one of my favorite subjects and I'm back to painting them once again. I had a piece of watercolor paper to which I had attached a piece of Masa paper which had crinkles and wrinkles in it.  They show up in parts of the painting, but not as much as I had hoped.  It was fun experimenting with that surface and the combination of watercolor and acrylic.

  1. I'm always afraid of experimenting.... Another success Nancy! I have so many reference photos of the koi's we had and would like to paint them!

  2. Great subject and idea, wonder if that would work with tracing paper?
