We were flying home from a trip to Mexico a while ago and I had my camera with me so I snapped some pictures out the window. I think this view was taken pretty close to Puerto Vallarta. I liked the way the horizon curved. Being up that high gives such a cool perspective of our beautiful world.

I love it!!! What a terrific idea and a beautiful painting. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great perspective shot this is. I love that curve to the horizon, and the fluffy clouds floating. This is just plain delightful!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome. I love the surreal vantage and the hard-edge treatment of the forms. It looks both familiar and also out of this world!
ReplyDeleteyep, the curve in the horizon really adds to the exciting perspective. Nice clouds too, so fluffy and squish-able.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carrie.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancie. I'd been wanting to paint something like this for a long time but usually when I'm flying, I don't have my camera with me or I'm not sitting by a window.
Thanks Hillary.
Thanks Robin. I'm glad my clouds are squish-able. I love that description.

Really cool, Nancy! It's particularly impressive how you brought those clouds right up into the sky on the painting. They look like they're floating above the painting!
ReplyDeleteThank you Leovi. I wrote thank you in spanish in my last comment and for some reason, it didn't post. I didn't think my spanish was THAT bad!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheryl. I think I might try this type of painting again. It was a fun experiment.
