Koi Pond

I started this a couple of months ago and finished it this week.  I really love painting koi.  I think this is the first time I've painted them in oil.  I'm getting more comfortable painting with oils although I still love painting in watercolor better.

    I love koi too, all the color and movement. I like this a lot. I really like how you got the water lilies to sit on top, how did you manage that?

      Thank you Nelvia. I think the highlights on the edges helped make them float.

    You've been so busy while my internet has been down! The koi are wonderful and I wouldn't have known this was in oil had you not mentioned it. That scorched earth piece below is just stunning!
