This scene is from a photo taken in Laguna Beach. I was up on the bluffs looking down so the orientation is a bit different. It looks a little more pale in this photo than it does in person. I might play with the rocks some more but I will live with it for awhile first to decide what the painting needs.
I'm still not really in the mood to paint much after January's daily painting challenge. I'm sure I will feel like painting soon but for now I feel like I need to take a break.

I do so love Laguna Beach. This is beautiful, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry. Laguna is a beautiful place, isn't it?
DeleteNancy, this watercolor is really beautiful! Just wanted to tell you that I think it's a very nice painting!
ReplyDeleteThank you Kathleen.
ReplyDeleteI love the tranquil colors in this Nancy! And I felt the same after doing the 30 day challenge. Time to relax a bit & recoup. You'll be back at the easel in no time.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nan. Yes, I think I will still be relaxing a bit more before the painting bug strikes again.
DeleteBeautiful waves,Nancy, I am like you the 30 day painting was hard.. I was stretched too thin. love your work, love,Diana
ReplyDeleteThank you Diana. I'm glad I tried it by probably won't do it again.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy, like this a lot. Like the long shallow painting size and you have made the rocks stand up at us as we look down on the scene. Not sure how you did that, but just so well done. You will be back at it, but agree it is taking a while to kick back into gear. I thought I'd do it again, but now I am not really sure as it was a lot of work and pressure. I don't know how people go for months and years of posting and painting something daily - I don't care what the size. Got to be a special mindset and dedicated.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nelvia. I agree, the 'painting a day' artists are inspiring.
