Paso Robles (in California) is one of my favorite wine areas. The rolling hills dotted with huge oak trees, winding roads and beautiful vineyards make it a wonderful place to spend a few relaxing days.
This is another palette knife painting on a 6" x 6"panel. I really like the square format. It makes the paintings more contemporary.

Looks like the perfect place to visit, Nancy! Beautiful painting...
ReplyDeleteThank you Hilda. It is a great place.
DeleteLove the light reflecting off the grape vines.
ReplyDeleteThank you Susan. I really like painting vineyards.
DeleteLovely painting, and congratulations on keeping up with the daily painting commitment. I'm curious to know how it's helped you grow and what realizations about yourself and your art you might have come to in your quest to finish one every day? I like how you did the light and shadow on the vineyard, it's really well done, and the whole piece is a pleasant escape from winter's frozen landscape right now!
ReplyDeleteThank you Katherine. I haven't really had time to reflect on what I'm learning from this challenge because it seems like I'm always painting! I'll think about that when it's over.
ReplyDeleteOaks and grape vines...it doesn't get much better than that in the plant world. I think this is beautiful and I love the perspective!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sherry. Nature is wonderful, isn't it?
DeleteAlways great to see where my favorite beverage comes from. Again, you live in such a beatiful part of the country. I love the perspective too, just another thing to tackle, so I admire when someone already has the ability.
ReplyDeleteWine is my favorite beverage as well. You could easily paint perspective Nelvia.
